Walnuts are one of the best nuts to consume for heart and brain health. They are a natural whole food, great in moderation and only for those without allergies to them. Their super benefits include:
 

Improved brain health;   Walnuts are rich in antioxidants (richer than any other common nut). They are in Omega 3’s and polyphenols counteracting oxidative stress and inflammation.

They are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals - Copper, folic acid, phosphorous, iron, Vitamins A, B6, C and E

They help combat heart disease by lowering bad cholesterol and blood pressure, reducing inflammation, improving blood vessel function, therefore reducing the risk of plaque buildup in the arteries

And they are rich in protein, fibre, and monounsaturated fats
